Innovation Project for the Snack Industry | Case Study
THE BRIEF
To extend shelf life of products, minimise water usage and effectively treat all types of by-product water
We worked alongside the customer to design and develop new technologies involving some existing technologies to extend shelf life of their snack products, to minimise water usage and effectively treat all types of by-product water.
THE RESULTS
The project outcome was a production plant designed, built, tested and installed in a live application.
This is one significant project of many we managed and engineered for this client and have forged an excellent relationship through hard work, honesty, reliability and our capability to evolve with the project to guarantee maximum success within budget.
THE PROJECT
Due to IP we have had to leave some of the details rather vague. Suffice as to say, the process prior to our involvement was long and time consuming but when we took over the project management of the works, we were able to change the process into a more cohesive and cost effective project through management of meetings, costs, expectations and maximum utilisation of everyone's skill sets.
Throughout the project, there were more than a few trials and some redesigns involving bespoke solutions that were necessary to transition the plant in to a fully automated system with remote alarm and access for fault diagnosis. This solution is currently operating unmanned on site with great success and minimal maintenance requirements. The project was a huge achievement for all of the team involved.
